The Dell XPS 13 has become a top seller at Best Buy in the US and UK, but it’s only in Australia that it’s the cheapest Windows laptop on sale.
While you can pick it up for $399, there’s no way of getting a comparable model on the US or UK markets, but in Australia you can still get one for around $450.
That’s because Dell sells it in the same range as other Windows laptops, but they’re also available in other colours and models.

The Dell ZBook G4 13 is a little more expensive, but Dell sells a much higher-end model for around a quarter of the price.
In Australia, you can also buy a similar Dell Inspiration 17 7000, which is currently available for around AU$1,100.
Dell also sells the Inspiration 13 7000 in other colors, but the 13 7000, while a decent laptop, doesn’t have the best specs.
The Inspiration 15 7000 is also available, and the Inspion 15 7000s are very similar to the Dell Inspion 13 7000s, but don’t come with as many bells and whistles.
There are some good features to be had on these machines, but there are also drawbacks to these machines.
The 15 7000 offers Intel Core i5, i7 and i9 CPUs, and Dell also includes an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080.
There’s also a quad-core Nvidia GeForce GPU, and you can choose between an 8GB or 16GB memory kit.
The 16GB model costs about $1000, and it comes with a 256GB SSD, but if you have a big enough SSD you can buy a 512GB model for about AU$1600.
We can’t recommend buying a Dell laptop that you can’t upgrade to a better option, so if you’re in Australia, we highly recommend buying an Inspiration laptop.
