More than two decades after its launch, the HP Pavilion 830 laptop remains the world’s best-selling laptop, according to a new study.
The study, conducted by Consumer Reports, found that the HP 830 is still the best-sellered laptop on the market with over 100 million units sold worldwide, with shipments growing by a healthy 7% annually.
The new study finds that the laptop is still selling in the billions of dollars annually, and is still in the top 10 of the most popular laptop brands in the U.S.
It is still a powerhouse in its own right, with the 830 still selling for $1,299, $1 the price of the best Dell Inspiron 15 7000.
It’s also in the Top 10 of Dell’s Top 15 laptops, with sales of the laptop growing by 12% annually, making it the fastest-selling Dell laptop ever.
In addition to its high-end credentials, the Pavilion 8 30 also has the second-highest-selling Intel Core i7-5960X processor in the company’s portfolio, which is also the most powerful processor in its current lineup of laptops.
It’s a strong performer on the desktop, too, as the 7th-place Dell Inspire 15 7000 sells for $899, which also makes it the cheapest laptop in the $1k to $2k range.
The 7th place Lenovo ThinkPad T460, which features a similar processor to the HP laptop, sells for just $399, and the Dell Inspirent 15 7000 is priced at $1.4k, which makes it a great buy for those looking to upgrade to a more powerful laptop.
Other top-selling laptops in the market include the Acer Predator X300, Lenovo ThinkStation 13 and Lenovo Thinkpad M1.
Other popular laptops in this segment include Lenovo ThinkPads C520, C710, C720 and C740, as well as the Dell XPS 13, Dell X540 and Dell X550.
