DALLAS — The manufacturer of a gaming laptop that was designed for the home and office is dropping the 8GB of RAM in favor of a 2.8GHz quad-core processor.
The Dell Latitude G630 has been on sale for about a month at retailers including Target, Walmart, Kohl’s, Target, Target.com and Amazon.com.
It sells for $2,399.00.
The new model, which comes with an 8GB version of the Dell PowerEdge G630 chip, also features Intel Iris graphics and 3TB of storage.
The company is calling it a laptop with 4K UHD.
Dell did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The laptop has a 1.5GHz Intel Core i7-5930K processor and 512GB of PCIe SSD storage, the company says.
The price drops to $1,399 with a 2TB SSD, which adds a second storage option, the Dell Latitudes.
